Long live the great Egyptian revolution!

Social scientists are not prophets, and this book was not a prophecy, but it attests to the powers of grounded theoretical engagement. Editor Rabab Al-Mahdi was one of the leading members of Enough! [Kifaya] group which started 3-4 years before first cycle of protests demanding the end of Mobarak regime (which was followed by labor strikes). Kifaya, as many commentators argue, made possible a new political language emerge within which different sides of Egyptian spectrum can participate. To confess, when I read this book at December 2010 I found it too optimist. But writers, many of them activists on the ground, were able to see the paradoxes of the unbearable conditions, new opportunities, neoliberal tyranny and political stasis. Book carefully elaborates on the elements/points of possible anti-government mobilization (in a rather neo-Gramscian way).

Rabab Al-Mahdi was very active in the revolution and talked to Al Jazeera many times during the process. Minutes after Mubarak's resignation, she was asked her opinion: she was not able to talk, crying from happiness. Humanities do matter as you can see, they help revolutions be!

Dr. Sutton's guide to clinical language and documentation is a great investment for therapists at any level of experience, but a must-have for a new clinician. Being a new clinician myself, I initially struggled to create robust progress notes that captured the therapeutic process using strong clinical language. Using the case studies included in this book, I was able to better understand how to appropriately employ clinical language and document sessions in a way that is not only acceptable to my superiors in the field, but I daresay impressive. Once you've finished reading through it and have taken advantage of the practice opportunities inside, this book makes a nice a la carte menu of clinical terms and phrases that elevate progress notes and give them a truly professional quality. The Counselor's STEPs for Progress Notes are universal and make a great resource no matter your designation or practice setting. Highly recommended!

Excellent and inspiring reference for public relations

This is an excellent reference and college textbook on public relations. It provides pretty much everything one needs for successfully implementing various approaches in public relations, memorable stories and characters of history, techniques and theory. One interesting and memorable point here is how some public relations moguls have used controversy as a successful public relations tool. The book is filled with profiles of successful public relations figures. I would recommend it for anyone whose work touches on that field.
