For seventeen year old Melody Williams, life is a constant struggle to stay alive and one step ahead of those who seek to reclaim her. In one brief instant, her solitary life is turned upside down when Issac James, a member of the one of the world's hottest singing groups runs, into her, literally with his little blue Porsche. Along with his band mates and best friends, Tyler, Jesse, Tristan and their manager Damon, her life just is no longer lonely, but just got a whole lot more complicated.
Exerpt:
Lost in thought, Melody walked past the driveway of the Quik Mart, ready to head to the library when something hard suddenly slammed into her left hip. She found herself being thrown several feet, landing hard in a garden bed between the street and the sidewalk. Pain shot through her leg and tiny stones cut into the palms of her hands. She somehow avoided landing on her head. Her heart thundered in her chest in shock.
She started to get up when she heard a deep voice shout, “No! Don’t move!” She looked up, startled. A man came towards her around the front of a little blue sports car. A Porsche, from the looks of it, was apparently what hit her. The sun was directly behind him and she raised her hand to cover her eyes as she looked up, trying to see who was speaking to her.
“Are you alright?” the deep, slightly panicked voice questioned. He reached out his hands to help and Melody cringed and shrank back reflexively. “I’m just trying to help.” he said softly, holding his hands up. “I am so sorry.” He was looking at the side of her leg as she rubbed it gingerly, his hands quivered as if he fought the urge to touch her himself. He removed dark, aviator sunglasses and placed them on the Chicago Cubs baseball cap on his head. She looked up into his eyes now that the sun wasn’t directly behind him and felt her heart flutter just a bit. Wow, he was really handsome! She couldn’t help admire his looks, despite her fear. His hair, what she could see of it, was curling out from under his hat. It was a dark brown, almost black, and so rich it reminded her of dark chocolate. Thick, neatly trimmed sideburns trailed down the side of his face. He wore a bright white tank top that was pulled snuggly against his broad chest; accentuating his deeply tanned and well defined biceps. His eyes were a remarkable shade of pale robin’s egg blue. They were so clear and light they almost reminded her of a Siberian husky puppy she’d once met. He looked at her curiously as she studied him. Realizing her blatant stare, she blushed and looked away, feeling the heat on her cheeks like sunburn.
“Are you okay?” he asked again gently.
She nodded slightly, feeling rather silly. The heat of her blush intensified as she noticed the crowd gathering around them. She had to get out of here, she thought to herself, fighting the urge to run.
“Do you think you can stand up?” he asked, bringing her attention back to his beautiful eyes. She nodded and tried to push herself up off the ground. The wet soil underneath her must have been watered recently, as she started to get up, she could feel just how wet the right side of her denim shorts were. Darn it, she thought, these were her last semi-clean pair.
“Here, let me help you,” said puppy eyes, sliding his hands under her arms and lifting her to her feet before she could muffle a protest. The warmth in his firm, gentle touch felt foreign yet, nice. When was the last time someone had touched her in kindness? He held her steady until she got her bearings, leaning on her right leg as she tried to take some of her weight off the left. Pain shot through it again and she tried to hide her wince.
The people standing around were gawking; pointing and whispering to each other. She was really uncomfortable with the attention. Why were they staring like that?
“I’m okay,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper as her eyes darted

so happy I saw this on my suggestion list!

Im the biggest fan of C L Stones academy series and I've been on the hunt for something along those lines that isn't anime. I have found it but this is definitely more... Dark in a sense. I love this book and hope that i see a second one getting published ASAP. This is going to be in my top five books for sure. I love reverse harems and this is just that but with an actual story line and not just guys tripping over themselves for a girl. Five stars!

Looking forward to book 2
By Kindle Customer
I thought the story started off slow but the cliffhanger ending makes me wish the next book was already available. Unlike other reviewers I see very little similarities between this book and C.L.Stone's academy series-- yes, there are a few good guys and one troubled girl, but that's where the similarities end, in my opinion. To be honest there are going to be similarities with every book in the same genre so I don't see this as a big deal. The guys are singers and the girl has a very different history then the main character in the academy series.
I took off one star because this book needs some editing/grammar fixes. Right now the book feels a little unpolished because of these current errors and sometimes these errors took me out of the story.
That being said, I thought the book was pretty well written and each character's POV felt both distinct and relatable. I loved how the author weaved in little details about the boys backstory without bogging the reader down with details all at once. Overall I look forward to reading the next book in the series-- which is surprising since I normally abhor boy band books (though this book is so much more than that)-- and can't wait to follow Amato's journey as they become a more polished and profound offer.

Enjoyable reverse harem story, just be prepared for a cliffhanger.
By tigertennis
I actually liked this story quite a bit. I did not see really any similarities to CL's the Academy. There may have been a few things they shared in common but nothing glaring. Besides, CL has covered so many of the different personalities and abilities of guys that it's hard to find one she hasn't done, except maybe for cowboy!
Melody does have a very dark past and I can't say that I didn't wish for it to have been different. I think being homeless and on the run from abusive parents was enough of a challenge rather than adding in all the specific and dark abuse. But I'm willing to see where the author goes with it. So far it's a reverse harem that doesn't have all the sexuality that a lot of stories have. (A true Reeves harem rather than a menage story.)
I am really looking forward to move to this story, especially as it ended on such a cliff hanger!
