About the Author
Monica Miller Marsh is an associate professor of Education at DeSales University. Tammy Turner-Vorbeck is an adjunct professor of education at Purdue University. They have co-founded The Family Diversity Education Council and co-edited the recently published book, Other Kinds of Families: Embracing Diversity in Schools.

I got this book as a required text for a class I took, it is jam packed with alot of beneficial information, and my former teacher wrote parts of it, which I thought was neat.

Good collection of essays. Could use a stronger theoretical foundation to support arguments, in addition to all of the research and case studies. Also, not useful for in-service teachers looking for solutions and strategies. Definitely an academic pursuit.
